Thirty Eight Customs is the evolution of our previous venture, 303Decal. Originally founded in 2014, 303Decal specialized in crafting high-quality car decals. In 2022, we relaunched as Thirty Eight Customs, aiming to expand our offerings and provide a broader range of services, designs, and products.
While 303Decal had a successful run focusing on car decals, we decided to close that chapter to explore new opportunities and projects. In 2022, we reemerged as Thirty Eight Customs, with a renewed commitment to creativity and a broader scope of offerings.
The name “Thirty Eight Customs” holds significance for us. Colorado, our home base, is the 38th state in the United States. We chose this name as a nod to our location and a symbol of our roots in the beautiful state of Colorado.
At Thirty Eight Customs, we strive to go beyond just decals. We’re passionate about offering a diverse range of services, designs, and products to cater to a wider audience. Our commitment to quality and creativity sets us apart in the customization industry.

All of our items are made to order and require 3-5 days to process and be made.
**Larger custom / bulk orders may require a longer processing time.**

We currently do not offer any free shipping for international orders at this time.

Decals
A decal is a decorative “sticker” that is made from cutting a design out of adhesive backed vinyl, a versatile material that allows for precision in design and application. Each decal is meticulously cut using a plotter, ensuring clean lines and a professional finish.
Our vinyl decals, cut from premium adhesive-backed vinyl, are designed for durability. With an outdoor rating of 3-5 years, these decals are built to withstand the elements while maintaining vibrant colors and crisp details.
Absolutely! Our decals are well-suited for outdoor use and can be confidently applied to cars, windows, and various outdoor surfaces. The adhesive-backed vinyl ensures a secure and long-lasting bond, even in challenging weather conditions.
A mutli-layer decal is a decal in which multiple layers of vinyl are used. This method is used when you have multiple colors in your design, and we layer the colors over each other, to achieve the desired design. This does create a slight depth with multiple layers on top of each other, but it is not very significant.
Depending on the size of your design, we may use multiple pieces of transfer tape. If we do use multiple pieces of transfer tape, they will be taped together with a piece of painters tape / masking tape. This does not affect the quality of your decal. Its just attaching the transfer tape to each other so it pulls off all together and not in pieces. We tend to have multiple pieces on large decals due to not having the exact width or size of transfer tape as your decal.
Certainly! Many of our decals offer customization options for size and color. Look for these choices when browsing our selection to ensure your decal meets your unique preferences.
Our current plotter is capable of 24″ wide x Unlimited length. It is plausible to cut decals larger than 24″, they would just be multi part. Meaning instead of 1 solid decal, it may be multiple pieces to achieve your desired size. This method does not apply to every design but more specifically to designs that can be broken apart.
Our color options are constantly expanding. As they expand our color chart will update. This chart reflects current color availability.
Yes, our adhesive-backed vinyl decals are designed for easy removal without causing damage to the surface. When removed correctly, they leave no residue or marks behind.
Decals can be removed by just peeling it off or for more stubborn decals you can use a window scraper. If the decal leaves behind any residue, if it is on glass**, you can use a little dab of goo gone and it will clean it right up. Otherwise an eraser and a little elbow grease actually helps rub off the adhesive.
**DO NOT USE GOO GONE OR ANY SOLVENT ON ANY PAINTED MATERIAL! IT WILL RUIN IT**

Yes and No. This question falls back on to the decal vs sticker debate. Some designs are better suited to be printed. Think bumper sticker or campaign sticker, those wouldn’t look the best cut out of vinyl, but look great printed! If you’re unsure if it can be done, contact us and lets see!
At this time, we focus on crafting high-quality vinyl decals and do not offer custom cut window tint or vehicle wraps.
Printed Stickers
Our paper stickers are more intended for scrapbooking and journaling. There is no lamination, come only in matte, and are not water resistant. This is a printed sticker on an adhesive backed paper.
Our vinyl stickers are slightly more durable. Printed on adhesive backed vinyl and then laminated. The lamination adds an extra layer of durability to help be more water resistant*.
Our paper stickers are as durable as a piece of paper. If it gets wet, its ruined. You can tear it, crumple it up, etc.
Our vinyl stickers are more durable, water resistant, and wont tear.
Both are generally more suitable for indoor use as they are not indestructible. While our vinyl stickers are more durable, they are not 100% UV Resistant. We take steps to help extend the lifespan by printing using a pigment based ink and laminating, however they will eventually fade when exposed to the sun. The time frame for which is tbt.
At this time we do not offer custom printed stickers. We do offer custom vinyl decals in any quantity. However, our printed stickers are currently only available in the uploaded designs.
Sublimation
Dye sublimation is a digital printing technology that uses heat transfer to apply an image to the intended substrate. Also referred to as digital sublimation, the process is commonly used for decorating apparel, signs and banners as well as other items with sublimation-friendly surfaces.
Sublimation is very durable and can often outlast its intended use under proper conditions. As more sublimation products are added, we will update with care instructions on a per item basis.
We can print any image you desire, but that doesn’t always mean it’s going to be clear. The higher resolution image you can provide, the higher quality print we can give you. While some sublimation products can dull or blur the print due to their texture, its best to start with the highest quality images possible.
Due to the nature of the product, some staining from applying the scent is plausible. We do our best to mitigate this as much as possible by using different techniques, print dependent. On lighter colored prints, some darkening (staining) around the edges may be visible. This is due to the application of the scent absorbing into the air freshener material. Darker colored prints, the staining is less noticeable.
If you would like the highest quality print, you are able to purchase unscented to later customize with your own scent of your own.
Our current available offerings are as follows;
Our air fresheners come in individually sealed bags to ensure a long lasting scent. They are placed into the bags and sealed, shortly after adding the scent. Some residual moisture or oil from the scent will be present on the inside of the bag. This is nothing to be alarmed about, this is just your awesome scent you picked out! It will further absorb once hung.
Our air fresheners, scented or unscented, can be re-scented at any point in its life. Once the scent runs out, don’t toss out your awesome design! You can reuse it by applying your favorite scent. Whether that’s an essential oil, perfume, cologne, or your favorite room spray. Just apply in layers (kind of like painting), allowing the first layer to absorb before applying the next.
